I had exactly this problem.
When i checked the migration log on the migration appliance (ALT F2, log in as root/vmware and tail /var/log/migrate.log), I saw the following error:-
DEBUG – read (my.lab.vcsa.fqdn): no route to host
My DNS is working and i was able to ssh to the LAB VCSA from the migration appliance…all a bit odd! However, putting the entries directly into the migration appliance /etc/hosts file did the trick and the process moved on.
