I get that the 2.3, 3.0, etc would be the client version, but I’m seeing more versions that I anticipated since we are about 95% Zero Clients versus the Horizon Client. Maybe it the time frame of the report that is causing the increased numbers. When I update the client report what is the search value being used, is the Client report providing a point in time report of active client connections (which wouldn’t seem right based on what I see) or is it showing the client versions that have connected over “X” days (if so what is “X”)? Same question for Client OS, should read that section these client OS have been used to make “X” number of connections over some amount of days?

Love the Windows 10 Optimizer. Noticed that in the Win10 template you guys removed UAC disable. I added the line back in and found that MS Edge doesnt like UAC being disabled. I added 3x UAC changes that removed all those annoying pop ups:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
EnableLUA=1
ConsentPromptBehaviorAdmin=0
ConsentPromptBehaviorUser=0

Hope this helps11

I have the same problem with the ui missing errors. This is with firefox 34.04. With chrome however it works perfectly.

Thanks for this great piece of software.
Any chance the console wil work trough a reverse proxy (nginx)?

Una mierda, sobre win10
Si pierdes la conexion wifi, ya sabes que desinstalar.
Pero primero reversiona los cambios xq te habra desactivado servicios, ves los vm virtuales pero no tu tarjeta
suerte

The “set default wallpaper” optimization is not present in the Win81 or Win10 templates. I do see it in the Win8 template. Could you add this optimization to the Win81 and Win10 templates please. This is the optimization that sets the wallpaper to a blank/non-existent value.

Hi Mandar,

If you clear your browser cache, this issue should go away. It is probably a hangover from a previous version of the client.

Thanks for the report!

Hi David,

Definitely not PEBCAK ;-)

Seems like maybe the tmp ramdisk is getting filled up by something, which is causing the VIB installation to fail.

Can you run

esxcli system visorfs ramdisk list

and show me the output?

Hi Tinel,

That’s a large number of problems for one person to have! Thanks for taking the time to report them to us.

Can you tell me what type of license your ESXi host has assigned?
Can you also tell me the ESXi build number (on the Host summary page in the top area)?

I think I can determine that you’re using Internet Explorer, right? Can you tell me what version?

Thanks for fling.

Why do we have to turn on customer experience program and send information to vmware in order to see client information?

We just used this in the lab, with vCloud Director / vCNS and quite a big config riding on top of it. This was absolutely amazing to watch. Not relying on Windows now for vCenter is so awesome. Got hit by the fact I guess the tool here can’t use the TLS requirements that 5.5 u3b requires, so I had to modify the stsd config to allow it to work. One thing that was very interesting though, wasn’t so much during the migration itself, it was later when we did the 6.0 u1b upgrade. We got a validation error on an extra sequence that shouldn’t exist on a table (vpx_host_cnx_seq). Some googling found the answer, I had to run this: /opt/vmware/vpostgres/current/bin/psql -U postgres -d VCDB -c “drop sequence if exists vpx_host_cnx_seq cascade”. After that the validation worked and we could upgrade. I’ve never seen this situation despite doing the appliance upgrade before — so I’m curious if this happens as a result of using the fling prior to the upgrade?

Given that (hopefully) this will be used for the host prior to adding to a vCenter, it might be helpful to include possible EVC modes in the hardware section of the host summary page.

The other functions except “clients auditing” don’t require CEIP.
If CEIP is enabled, some files are generated in local file system, and the other process will send the file system to VMware. Toolbox needs the local files. Toolbox doesn’t communicate with VMware servers.

Clients information is not real time. And, if your Horizon View connection server is not installed in the default folder, please edit “\webapps\toolbox\WEB-INF\applicationContext.xml”, change
“C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware View\Server” according to your folder path.

Send email to steng@vmware.com if you can’t see client information.

Are you using the newest version?
Can you send your logs to steng@vmware.com?
(in logs folder with name *.log and webapps\toolbox\ folder with name toolbox.log)
