Hello,
is the Windows 10 template still in Beta? When do you expect the final release?
Regards,
Jethro
Jethro,
The Windows 10 template has been published with the current tool (downloadable from this site). Maturity of such a template takes long time for the community to verify. The good news is that till now (more than 1 month internal/external beta), we see no major functional issue so far. So if no further issue, this template will be likely the released one.
Hello Guys,
my migration is hanging by the follow step:
“Accessing the vCenter Server Appliance through the Manged Object Browser Interface. This SSL certificate was presented by the vCenter Server”……
When i click “yes” –> “Waiting for vpxd on VC Appliance” is showing. Then the same question reappears.
The migration.log:

Can somebody help me?
Hi,
I am seeing a problem using the Add Printer and Add Device options in Devices and Printer on Windows 10 after running optimisation on the latest b1057 version (it was the same in the 1054 beta)
After optimisation they do not run and just flash up very briefly before disappearing. I am trying to figure out what specific setting is causing the problem.
If I then do a rollback it works again straight away. There are no restrictions on the account I’m testing with.
Apart from this I’ve not seen any other problems so far with the latest version with Windows 10 support :)
Narrowed it down to the Device Association Service, disabling this breaks the Add Printer and Add Device dialog’s (accessed via Devices and Printers in Control Panel)
Thanks James!
Do you think we need to exclude this item once and for all, or make it as default un-selected?
This is amazingly neat. Thanks for doing it. It works perfectly.
I sorted out the localization issue errors
I just copied the main.css to vendor.css in the /usr/lib/vmware/hostd/docroot/ui/styles and did a CTRL-R in the browser and now it seems to work fine
ls -al /usr/lib/vmware/hostd/docroot/ui/styles
drwxr-xr-x 1 root root 512 Jan 21 13:31 .
drwxr-xr-x 1 root root 512 Jan 21 13:12 ..
-r–r–r– 1 root root 88619 Dec 21 20:32 main.css
-r–r–r– 1 root root 88619 Jan 21 13:31 vendor.css
These are interesting failures.
The vendor.css missing is benign and shouldn’t cause you any problems. I have fixed that in our tree.
The localization issues were due to a race condition that I believe I have fixed in our tree as well.
The deprecation warning is something that I haven’t seen before (!) which is very strange. What browser/OS are you using?
Thanks Bret. We appreciate the positive feedback!
My vote is to make it default un-selected.
Thanks for using Toolbox.
The screen is black since some horizon session is still active, or some user is using that desktop with Horizon client.
You can only open console when no user is connecting to that desktop.
Shengbo.
Thank you for the response.
I am curious though because I get the black screen even on VMs that have no one logged into them and as far as I know there isn’t an active Horizon session.
Does the rule still apply that you can’t console into a VM when someone else is logged into it still apply? It was my understanding this was default by design but also heard that this feature in the Fling overrode that.
Thanks again
Has anyone had issue when converting to the appliance with the Active Directory (Integrated Windows Authentication) model not working? I’m not sure if I’m performing any missteps here. I’ve performed the normal scrape of the current vCenter, turn it off, turn on the appliance, do the setup, in which I purposefully skip the AD configuration. Once the new appliance has all of the previous settings and DB info, I rejoin to the domain successfully and readd the Identity Source, yet constantly get an error about not being able to use my Windows credentials when trying to login. If I go into the Web Client, I can browse the AD domain successfully and display users and groups so I know that my configuration (at least on paper) is working successfully.
Thanks,
Bill
You may need to enable console access through the agent GPO setting “Enable access to a PCoIP session from a vSphere console”
vcenter build 3252642 migration issues.
Each time I deploy the VCSA, I have to manually configure hostname, IP, etc via /opt/vmware/share/vami/vami_config_net. Not sure if this is related (have tried the OVA deploy both direct to host with vcenter shut down, as well as through vcenter with same result).
Migration seems to go fine up until after completing the vcsa initial setup wizard. Migration system keeps asking to re-approve the same certificate over and over, alternating between that and “waiting on vpxd”. Not sure what to do here as I’m stuck in a loop on the vcenter migration system with no option to ignore.
Good answer! I am so glad that you can answer questions here :)
Thanks, Eric.
Love the Fling and I have been using it for a while. On Wednesday of this week the Graph starting showing 0 concurrent sessions and hasn’t changed. I rebooted the apache service and the connection server. The current session counts are accurate, just the graph showing 0. Any ideas as to what might need to be kick started.
Thank you! I will try that! I agree also…. glad you can answer questions! :)
